1) Are not "renewables" also finite resources? Lithium, all the minerals needed to go into panels, wind turbines etc. Heck, even the sun is finite.
2) They predict a running out of oil many times, yet we always find more.
3) Oil/fossil fuels are needed for EVERYTHING in modern life, not just power generation or travel.
