Correct - we can only speculate at this point.
No relevant authority is coming out and saying what is happening in the background.Can confirm the below though:
- The PM has completely backed off his rhetoric
- MK (a piece showed she wanted to address PEP-11 as a priority for energy security)
- DB confirmed the NOPTA recommendation would have been positive.
- Only recently has the NSW majority come out to bring forward new legislation to ban Offshore drilling in NSW waters (which PEP-11 isn't even the jurisdiction of (almost totally in Commonwealth Waters)
- We are at the final signing stage of the NOPTA sign-off stage.
