I was looking at framework for the future as permits have a time frame.

Say liberal got into government, say they were governing when pep11 comes up for renewal again, making things watertight now, so liberal can not do what they did under scomo in the legislation via changes.

Albo did state things are a mess, without elaborating on why, but also took aim at dutton saying, he says no to everything, also without elaborating.

In other words if Liberal was in, it would be no and they caused this in the first place. Blaming.

If they declined under environmental laws, that is very challangable.

That is where a court action will be because Albo stated the last few days it will boil down to environmental.

1. Nsw pumps waste to sea, Vic does not.

2. Vic otway basin has low population, sydney near pep11 high, so high chance of people pollution.

A judge would rule there equal worst case on pristine and preventable damages argument.

Considering permits have been issued in waters equal to nsw, the only block would be an endangered species at pep11.

But the court would then wish to know

why wind turbines would be allowed and not gas.

A finding there most likely irrational in nature because wind turbines should also be banned.

Labour is caught by the nuts.

1. Albo has bought in environmental the last few days, so that would be the area a court case would be in.

But any causes of action would most likely be null as per above.
