Now that theboot is on the other foot so to speak. Danial Mookhey NSW Treasurer is on hishigh horse claiming they were hard done by under the current GST system.
Well I say toTreasurer Rita Saffioti stick to your guns. NSW has an opportunity to benefitfrom a gas project 28 Km off the Newcastle coast. But they prefer to protectwhat they classify as pristine beaches than cheap energy that the project couldprovide.
The membersof the NSW Parliament claim the assortment of petitions show the solid support for their actions. Yet I believe the petitions, which was allocated the number PN0462, was subsequently found by the Petitions Committee to not meet the rules as set out in the House standing orders, I wonder why?
They arequite happy to use gas coming from other state, but not from their own backyard so to speak. Well Rita tell them no gas from our back yard is going tokeep your citizens warm this coming fall if that’s their attitude
