I would normally agree.. but in this case I have to wonder what harm is there to ask the FEDS... " Why the Delay??"

Its been over 100 days and the FEDS have not provided a decision. In that time NSW has now 'legislated' a new Bill to directly effect PEP11 and its "viability" should it find gas (Note: can only target PEP11 AFTER NOPTA 'APPROVAL') and the FEDS themselves are making amendments to the 'NOPSEMA' process..(What effect this has on PEP11 I am not sure but it should have NIL effect to the NOPTA JA Decision)

So in delaying for over 100 days since receiving the NOPTA recommendation... the NOPTA Legislation itself (from what I am aware) has NOT changed. Whatever reasoning the FEDS will use to APPROVE or REJECT PEP11 is the same back on October 18th as they are today. If the Hail Mary pass is the NSW Bill - then both NSW and FEDS can now make their decision after ASSENT.
