Yes, from my experience, is that when I delegate responsibilties I do this for two main reasons.

The first reason is that I do not have time to deal with matters that can be dealt with others. I still stay abreast of the matter, but dont involve myslef in the finer points, details etc.

The other reason is to provide a collegue with experience and confidence in dealing with matters that they are not familiar with.

I would never delegate a responsibiity or decision simply because it was too hard or did not want to be held responsible.

Many decsions are type A and Type B decsions. Simply, there is merit is both decsions, however one is better, some times mariginally.

No matter what, If I delegated a responsibility, I would consider that I am responsible for the decision and if the decision is wrong, then I wear it.

I am not sure of MK motivation to delegate.

I trust and hope that the reason is that a fair and open minded person will approve.
