NSW is too invested in Coal! This is the simple situation they face. Any possible alternative would threaten everything they have in place atm.
Clear as day they want to milk the coal industry as long as possible.
Question is….. how much are they willing to pay in settlement to keep the existing structure in place?
To any other state this would be a no brainer!
I remember figures being thrown out of $500mil plus for compensation.
