This process has highlighted a few flaws in our system in regards to these permits.
Going forward, the NOPTA recommendation should be made public information as soon as it's made, leaving this unknown to shareholders and the public only allows politicians to play their games. Second, strict deadlines need to be applied for decision makers, again, to prevent any shenanigans from occurring. Why are these rules not in existence already? It's lead to so much headaches for everyone. Transparency and communication is the key to a properly functional government, and one with a good relationship with the citizens it governs.
