This is a pretty corrupt and idiotic admission from the Port Kembla operators. Essentially, despite admitting to a critical gas shortage, the demand from companies for imported Gas is still not there because of how expensive it is to import this gas. So their solution is to essentially force/bribe our Government into ignoring local gas resources like what is likely there in PEP11, so as to artificially jack up demand and force companies to have no choice but to buy very expensive imported Gas, just to justify this idiotic project, ironically backed by a man who publicly denounces fossil fuels.

Holy heck, how the ABC actually allowed this article to be published is just beyond me. I would submit this article as evidence if we ever do have to go back to Court over PEP11.
