There are alternatives to oil for plastics, but I agree that may be a long-term transition. How does oil help create medicine btw???

The point is though.... BPH is gas. Gas isn't used for plastics etc. It's only used for creating electricity (which solar/wind/hydro/batteries will replace), and heat (which renewable electricity will replace).

If you want to invest in something worthwhile that IS the future (at the very least for trucks, ships and energy export) and has a lot of profit potential: Green Hydrogen. Fossil fuels for most use-cases are disappearing (expensive and polluting). Or battery metals (Lithium, Nickel, Rare Earths). Why invest in a dying industry/resource?
