Pep is part of the fossil fuel/transitional talks, to say otherwise means you're not keeping up with the story.
The constituents of the Independents that got elected were off the back in part to reducing fossil fuel use and transitioning to more renewables - it was literally all over their bloody placards.
Those Liberals you mention were dinosaurs of the Liberal party out of touch with how society is moving (mainly supported by conservative boomers)
Again, this is falling into trading play territory. The Labor govts do not want to touch this (as if they want to give away any support to Liberals)
