Yes and No. They voted for it not to be debated and voted on 2 days after it was presented to the parliament. Usually, there are a week or 2 for the MP's to familiarise themselves with the Bill. Let alone go to a vote. That's a big call for a private members bill to advance so quickly
Also there is the risk Falinski said about Advent Energy's rightful claim against the government from parliament overreach. Whether that has any standing
Probably the only positive commentary was from Alex Hawke where for a small section of his speech went back to the balancing act of approving good and enviromentally safe projects.
