Me too. I think that they will grant that permit because I just don't see how Australia can transition to clean energy without still much needed gas in the coming years. Even if various industries use it less and less with every year, I'm looking at all those millions of households that will still need it and plenty of it during winter.

I'd think it would be cheaper to get gas from PEP11 through a pipeline than ship it using that new terminal near Newcastle. I think it was Newcastle, wasn't it? And, after all, we are talking here permit for exploration, not for drilling. So, yeah, let's hope it will all work out.
