Socialist Parties the globe over are all walking in step.
Many things that we took for granted about our lives, opportunities, prospects and rights living in a western style democracy are slowly but sure being eroded ; whitling to nothing.
We often joke about lunatics running the asylums... and yet here we are. Day after day decisions by Governments are begging belief in their ineptness.

As much as "what are they now," .... ask WHO are they now ? Who funds them ?.. who are the puppet-masters ?

The ALP stopped being about the ppl the minute its leader cared more for his Zegna than the plight of the common man.
Nothing is really what it/they purport.

What honestly could be simpler .... Country needs gas....indeed world needs gas. Any number of industries dont /cant exist without gas...

You would think any gov, any flavour of representation would be moving mountains or diving deep to get it. A reasoned person would think any and all red tape would be exised and pathways to gas supply expedited.

And yet again ... here we are.
