Why couldnt the Government go for a win-win scenario with PEP11??
There are like 1500+ more coal plants to be built worldwide. Over 1200 in Korea/Japan and China alone (our trading partners - respect to LNG??)
Why cant the OZ Govt go to those countries and say we will supply U with guaranteed LNG if you build lets say 1/10/100/1000 Gas Plants out of those 1200? This would cut your emissions and help you towards 'net zero'. PEP11 (IF SUCCESSFUL) does not need to come to shore and all its production goes onto a ship and off to whatever land.........
Who would argue with Gas - replacing Coal and making money for OZ!?????
Just my two cents worth.
