he is right. You can’t change the expiry date of the existing options. They are a financial instrument and have been traded for a longtime with that date attached.
if the company decides to issue new options to the bphob holders they will need to pass a resolution for that at a general meeting. It will need 50% of shareholders to vote for it to pass.
thats the only rescue if the decision for pep11 is delayed and the ob’s expire worthless.
going to be some pressure on the sell side in bhpob as people reach their drop dead date to bail out and convert to heads or maybe over to buy.
