Australia's energy regulator warns the largest supplier of gas on the nation's east coast could run out by the end of winter. Lochard Energy a facility in northeast Victoria is facing supply disruptions after it was forced to run on reserves due to the winter cold front. Australia's Energy Market Operator says resources withdrawn from the facility must be halved to avoid running out by the end of winter.Mining giant Orica is also considering production cuts at its Newcastle plant unless gas market conditions improve.
