At this point, the carbon science doesn't matter too much. We're still at the big, ballsy headline stage for the PM. If he claims he can smash our carbon down to neutral with a few massive offshore sequestrian projects, it's going to sound good to a lot of middle ground voters who aren't Greens but are concerned about the environment.
