Yep we are going to need a real catastrophe power wise for most of the woke thinkers to actually wake up it seems! and probably the sooner the better, evidently this summer we came close to a full grid meltdown, the only reason it didn’t happen was that QLD was experiencing mild weather and diverted a immense amount of power south right through to SA during what was a bit of a heatwave but not even a severe one, if QLD had of been part of it with the 3,pm HVAC switch on, evidently the system would of imploded, and they want to run all our new shiny electric cars and transport equipment along with all cooking appliances on this same post WW 2 designed Australian power grid that hasn’t had real money put into only poorly maintained since Snowy #1, it’s a fools paradise the grids infrastructure in Oz and the only way it will be exposed is when it fails, and of course it will happen at the worst possible time a time of maximum total fire bans all over the East Coast the worst time for HV cables to melting down and raining sparks from the sky, it has taken us 100 years to build a build a sub standard grid we currently need a grid that is 3 times more load and generating capable and that’s with out the 1m immigrants we are excepting over the next 3 years along with all our modern power sucking toys, when Australia wakes up to the cost of this infrastructure and timeline of same they are going to be mind blown as it really should of started 20 years ago and it’s going to take a power catastrophe of magnitude sadly to actually even start to repair the damage of the lost 20 years let alone catch up the size of the job is actually quite unimaginable for Australia and compounds due to the distance and relative to area small population.

The absolute stupidity GB is that we only need look to other parts of the world that have already gone down the renewables road to see what a failure it is and how it actually loads the grid rather than reducing strain in it. That’s because renewables need to be backed by fossil fuels to have any sort of reliability or efficiency. Nuts but it what we do we did it with Covid and now we’re doing it with this supposed climate crisis.
