If the gas terminal was feasible Origin Energy would of exercised the MOU with South Australian Gas Import Terminal deal.
Origin walked away.....

Massive supply chain cost involved here. Actually no astronomical supply chain cost.

Why did Squadron Energy start the FSRU charter of Hoegh Galleon in late 2023?

Squadron Energy don't expect to start importing gas until 2026 - Why start the charter early?

Infact the Hoegh Galleon has been quiet busy making money for twiggy traveling from Singapore to Japan and even PNG.

But you know what I find interesting?

The ScoMo Australian Federal Government granted Twiggys Squadron Energy $33M to build a Gas fired power station in 2021.

Squadron decided that to cancel that project..

So let's recap..

Squadron have stated Port Kembla Gas Import Terminal is 90% complete and which no one have signed contracts.

Squadron have started a FSRU charter contact approximately 3 years early.

Squadron will commence operations in 2026.

Squadron also cancelled the Australian Federal Government jointly funded Gas fired power station which would have been the biggest gas user for Pt Kembla Gas Import Terminal.

Appears Pt Kembla will be a white elephant?
