Is there a reason why, other than apprehended or actual bias.
Well, strictly speaking, if someone has demonstrated or there is percieved bias, then they should not be involved in the decsion making process. Full stop.
IF MK made a postive decsion then she would be criticised for not sticking to her strong held commitments when in opposition.
If She said no, then she would be rightly crticised as being biased.
In other words, MK has painted herself into a corner. She will recieve criticism either way.
Mr.Husic is the logical alternative. Minister for Industry and Science. He can approve PEP-11 and simply say he followed the process, according to law and the recommendation of NOPTA.
IMO, the current labor Government, through relevant Ministers, is currently pre-selling PEP-11 approval.
