The government's when they do not want you to do something slug you fees to put you off.

Look at cigarette and alcohol taxes for example.

Here the crazy fee on gas connection is to put people off.

The Vic government tends to use force.

Trued to slug EV car owners, found illegal. Forced smart meters, now onto the gas.

Renewables do not work for all.

I live in a heavy treed area, I can't have solar panels.

1. Limited light.
2. Falling limbs damage panels.

When the power goes out, it's a few times a month from fallen trees, my gas works every time.

Atleast I can still cook when no power, heat the house with gas central heating, when I connect my battery box / inverter to cover power.

Still can have a shower too as gas.
