When I read the letter, all I could think of perhaps was that the NEATS portal assigned it to "JA for Decision" without the report actually being finalised yet. I mean after all, it was the status change on NEATS that essentially caused the buying frenzy back in December. I haven't read anything that says that the status can't be change prior to report being provided. Given the public interest on this one, it was going to "JA for Decision" at some stage regardless of whether it is going to be approved or declined.

Having said that, I also put in an FOI to the NSW Ministry at the same time, but am yet to hear back from them other than an update from the NSW Minister's Office that they had elected to extend the response time to my request. It will be interesting to see how that FOI reads.
