Samantha McCulloch, the chief executive of gas lobby group Australian Energy Producers, warned that essential gas projects that have been “stuck in regulatory purgatory for years” need to come online as soon as possible to help fix a looming gas supply crunch.
“We need regulatory certainty and stability to support investment in the next generation of gas supply, all the way from exploration to production. These should not be hard decisions.”
