GB, there has been no random selected poll on PEP-11 as such, no one lay claim to there being public favour or disdain for PEP-11. Signing a petition is not an accurate gauge.

Asset have conducted a poll, I again would caution against accepting the results as we are not aware of how the poll was conducted, nor the question asked and the sample size.

No matter what we think, PEP-11 is, under any objective reasoning, a project that has been recommended for approval by NOPTA and the usual follow by the relevant Ministers is to approve. There is overwhelming evidence that this is the (almost exclusively) usual process. PEP-11 is an outlier, the black sheep and the odd-one-out.

We all know that PEP-11 is a political hot potato.

The processing and approval process has dragged out. The Northwest shelf project decision has similarly been pushed past the election.

Labor has been. clearly, strategic in their actions. Push the decsion until after the election. Leave it to the LNP or we approve it and have 3 or so years to mitigate any damage and of course bask in the glory of solving the east coast gas problem and reducing energy and cost of living crisis.

Surely, we can all see what has happened. This has been played out excalty as some of us have predicted.

Its a game, its politics. Its appaering to do what some want while doing what all need.
