I seen that argument till 2024 Hoodie, when I thought Albo would just Blame Scomo and move on with running the Country, but it’s actually polar opposite of what’s panned out now in fact.
Albanese has gone with the NSW state and the affluent and influential coast population of Pep11, as its obviously what they want, it can’t be denied or it would of been drilled again, Dutton has plans now to expand prolific Oil and Gas zones in Oz if elected, and if not elected The ALP will do same imo, increasing SA east coast pipeline capacity and expanding and further utilising Victorian fields, and opening onshore O&G in Vic again utilising existing close by under-utilised O&G infrastructure and existing under utilised east coast pipelines currently, add the sovereign Nat Gas Guarantee, and your really starting to see that the need for Pep11 simply doesn't exist anymore, offshore the most populous and affluent and influentially powerful coastline of Australia.
12 months ago I was on the fence on this one, but the way it’s panned out now politically and supply wise, Pep11 is now definitely a to hard basket project, and if compensation is ever paid, it will be many years away, and I’m questionng wether their are grounds for that with the way Albanese and crew have handled the Denial of Pep11 exploration licence since 2022 tbh.
After all we always argued over the years Hoodie that the Federal JA are the final decision maker no matter what, and yes Hoodie they have made the decision on Pep11,s denial and ticked the appropriate boxes imo, even as much as the Email club on here state against sane and try making up farcical scenarios regarding Pep11,s denial that simply don’t stand up even slightly imo and obviously farcical and dreamers views to a experienced observer imo!
