Here we have a perfectly legally acquired lease which has been held for many years.....legally. The Company that holds the lease has done all manner of things to make sure the lease is kept legally current at a not inconsiderable cost of many millions of dollars much of which I assume has been paid to Government fees. It has come to light over the last couple of years the absolute determination that the Government (both Liberal and Labour...with the possible exception of Keith Pitt) have that they will never approve the natural progress of this lease. Why haven't they done the morally right thing and cancelled the lease and paid appropriate compensation (pretty much the same way they do in real estate buy back). It seems they feel that they can string the shareholders along all the time knowing that there is a shite show in hell that it is going to be approved. That way it costs them nothing and it is just the shareholders that foot the bill all the time thinking they have a legal lease which would normally run the course of the process and be approved in the end the way things normally work. Are we going to go the way of the US where we have the rule of law over-rided by the stroke of an elected boofhead's pen.( we have had plenty of them as Prime Ministers). In any other world this would be fraud against a publicly listed ASX company.

In my opinion... should we win this court case... buy back is most likely the option for the Labor Govt
