This release tells us a few things.

First, Ed Husic has not issued a NOIR, rather he has "concerns".

The Labor party has one and only one concern - being elected.

PEP-11 is a permit that must be approved and needs to be approved.

NOPTA has recommended approval. ED must provide good reasons for going against NOPTA recommendation.

WE need to bare in mind this is for one drill hole. If gas is found then further decsions will be made for the exploting of the gas resource.

Double- dissollution is not of the cards and in some repects would serve Labor. They would get the WA Senate seat back !!

AND Thrope and Faruqui will be gone. Now that would be a blessing.

Importantly, Labors popularity is on the skids. Go early and go hard.
