The end for WorsfoldThe West Australian
September 5, 2013, 3:03 pm tweet0EmailPrint
An end of an era at West Coast continued today as the Eagles begin life without 12-year coach John Worsfold.
West Coast chairman Alan Cransberg would neither confirm nor deny this afternoon that Worsfold had called it quits but an announcement on the issue was imminent.
Worsfold's future as coach has been in spotlight in the past month as the Eagles suffered big losses and finished 13th after being touted as a premiership chance on the back of excellent seasons in 2011 and 2012.
Worsfold's resignation follows the retirements of his premiership players Andrew Embley, Adam Selwood and Mark Nicoski, and Daniel Kerr's future is also in doubt.
