The HUI finally wants to move (big night overnight), so perhaps only now are we starting to see a transition from physical gold as a currency hedge, to some broader speculation coming through into the markets. Yes, I know we've had a good run but there's far more to come.
If you were trading spot gold, falls below 890 would be disconcerting. But the upside is more realistic. No calls, bar whateverone else is saying - needs to break and hold $1000 - perhaps the HUI knows whats coming.
