I think that you have missed the point that the processing of the Mining Right had been done without any warning nor threat by the DMR to Anglo and ARM.
The DMR processed the application in a manner that there could not be any action taken against it due to not following correct protocol. I read somewhere that it takes a year from the time of application for a Mining Right to be granted. Anglo and ARM failed to take this into consideration.Had they done their research they may have been able to block the DMR from issuing the Right.
NKP knew that once the Mining Right was awarded that they could not be screwed any longer by ARM.There was nothing but silence leading up to the granting of the MR.
Current negotiations see NKP in a better position than a fortnight ago.
