Variable silver content is a complicating factor. Optimising mill feed means that sometimes more high silver ore is blended, sometimes less. Over time, these figures are expected to average out but whenever there is more silver in the activated carbon, there will be less gold. This means short term variability in gold output.

Once onsite carbon stripping and electrowinning facilities are online, this should be less of an issue.

Both high silver ore in the mill feed and the need for onsite electrowinning have been disclosed by the company.
