longrun.....I think rude etc is common nowdays in shops. Some shops I go in I get the impression they are reluctantly doing me a favour by taking my money, but don't bother me again. That said I am renovating my house & shop at my local Bunnings at Coffs Harbour. I have always been happily greeted by staff at the door, they go out of their way to accommodate me & nothing is a problem for them. There are also ex-tradie plumbers, electricians etc to serve or advise me. The only prob for me is there could be more staff around & it's easy to waste time trying to find someone to serve. Often can't find the thing I want cos the shelf is empty & there is none out the back in the storeroom cos there's NO out the back. But i'm happy with them & I'm pretty tough on shops that give crap service & in Coffs Harbour we have a few.
