Sharp reply ... you even roped in a response to my Hilary posts of a few nights back. Without being glib, there is no audience simply because there is no ultimately responsible body (individual or govt). There probably never will be until there is an event or series of events of sufficient calamity to force change.

Mini models of what I mean is Bob Geldoff moulding grief to form Band Aid try to alleviate African issues or Tsunami appeals when tidal waves wiped out the Indian Ocean coastline.

Its easy to relegate sensibly imortant issues to the top shelf or the recycle bin because of collective inability to mobilise and to make a difference.

Unfetted growth will cause a world of hurt sooner rather than later ... I am almost as bad as most, with the exception that I seem to be happy consuming less than the average Joe.
