Agreed. I always look at workplaces as ecosystems. There are just so many inputs, variables, interactions and outcomes that it boggles the mind how anyone thinks they can replicate equivalency of the model, in whole, by separating people from each other and the work environment.
I run a business and there are countless interactions during the day which are either necessary or advantageous, and which information cannot possibly be communicated via remote. Maybe certain tasks can - but business can't be reduced to tasks.
