Elle, There will be some bludgers who utilise work from home to cheat. These are probably the same people who would go into the office and cheat by doing little. In the public service its a problem because bludging is so endemic they don't even recognise it.
In the gig economy and real free market it isn't a problem because real output is measured and paid for. Bludgers aren't tolerated. If for example you are paid for phone sales or designs or tax returns completed or technical inquiries solved or magazine articles then you don't need to be in the office.
