kippa5, you got it one, and its been the same when ever there is a down turn in the economy, or a company through over eager union organisers as in the case of the car industry, have had their union members thrown on the scrap heap, the only part the members had in it, was to receive the pay increase leached out of the company.
From my dealings with the unions, I look at them with disdain, as a company goes under because of the actions taken, the union organiser's walk away with their job intact, and then shout from a high position as to how good they are to get a good payout, poor consolation for a full time job.
