but, it was never for that historically -- it was for control --

control of the chattel -- control of the woman -- control of the lineage

procreating went on whether marriage existed or not ------- ask any teenager who has had an accident.

Marriage was for - all the wrong reasons --------------- we just like to dress it up like lipstick on a pig.

It's really about as advanced as slavery in reality.
