I have a number of friends and know of many more that have lost their jobs over the past few months but received redundancy payments, therefore they can not claim any benefits etc and are not showing in the stats. They can not find new jobs. I think we will see a jump in the stats in the not to distant future as this works its way through the system. Just speak to anyone in Banking to hear the thousands that are being made redundant and nothing being said.
