I don't agree with a lot of these posters and Im a self funded retiree but a long way from pension age. I understand how hard it is to get a job for young people today and I agree with you. I think a some of these posters here are just trolls.
I do agree with work for the dole. In my area this has been tried before. People didn't turn up, most of the tools were stolen and no one lost their payments.
What they need to make it work are supervisors with a pair of testicles to make it work. I do think they should attempt to try and make the work suit the workers education and qualifications.
