Jakarta, July 16, 2024 – Energy Equity held a Drill Well on Paper (DWOP) activity for the drilling of the KB-10 development well, the EWL-01 exploration well, and the SBO-02 exploration well. The event, which took place in the Gilbaltar Room, Tower 165, was attended by representatives from EMP (Energy Mega Persada) VP Drilling & Work Over Mr. Juwargito, EWC (Energy World Corporation) Mr. Andi Riyanto, and various vendors who will support the project.
DWOP is a simulation activity of drilling a well on paper that aims to identify potential problems, improve operational procedures, and improve coordination between teams before field execution is carried out. Through this activity, it is expected that each team member can understand their respective roles and responsibilities, ensuring that all technical and non-technical preparations have been carried out properly.
The event was opened by a speech from Energy Equity General Manager, Mr. Farid Gaffar, and guided by Drilling and Sub Surface Manager Mr. Christanto B. Santoso in delivering presentations from each vendor to convey their respective work plans, including technical details of drilling, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies. In-depth discussions on every operational aspect were conducted to ensure that all parties understand their respective roles and are ready to face challenges that may arise. In this event, emergency scenario simulations were also conducted to test the team's readiness to face unexpected situations.
With the implementation of this DWOP, Energy Equity hopes that the drilling of the KB-10, EWL-01, and SBO-02 wells can run smoothly and successfully. The next step is to conduct a final review of all preparations and continue with the implementation stage in the field.
