They know they have sacrificed having a child to enable a career in Science - by the time you do Masters and PhD and gain recognition the safe child bearing years are behind you. A man to love does not turn up magically at the time they finally gain tenure. One or two did panic and try to have a child inappropriately due to the nonstop clock ticking away at them.
The video provided does show the clear 2:1 bias on sex rather than merit existing in STEM cell jobs today so once again you have it totally wrong,
