You are dodging the issue. Salvation through faith means a man of poor character who has faith is saved by his faith, yet a man of good character, striving to do well, is condemned purely because he lacks faith.
What kind of criteria is that? Who would call that just?

Of course that is not just. But nowhere in the Scriptures is that taught as being acceptable to God. Jesus became incensed at the religious leaders that professed piety but disowned God by their works.
(Matthew 23:23) “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you give the tenth of the mint and the dill and the cumin, but you have disregarded the weightier matters of the Law, namely, justice and mercy and faithfulness. These things it was necessary to do, yet not to disregard the other things.
