In a working free enterprise system you charge what the market will bare. Price discovery is obtained by requesting different companies to quote. Plenty of rip off merchants in Australia but you only get caught once. Australian business is hamstrung by red tape and over zealous work safety regulations etc etc. It's only free enterprise up to a point and clearly not at the top end of Government and even PE where the big money is.
