Easy to say in hindsight. Had they been hedging previously and the price was static or trending upward then you'd be complaining about the costs of the hedge and why they did it! Why do we buy these stocks anyway, it is for exposure to commodity linked risk... so why hedge it, when that's what you are buying exposure too as an investor!
