Yeh it's happened to me a couple of times now, once on the open, within seconds, bang straight up and took out my buys and within 3 minutes was back below my original short position and carried on as if nothing had happened. I make sure I now close my overnight stops before open.
Second time was just bad positioning really, I thought a couple of points past previous top would be ok but it wasn't. Same thing, within an hour or so I was back in the money.... or would have been.
I'm same in that during the day I just watch the markets and that's my stop but I always like something in if I'm staying overnight just in case. In the end I suppose it's bad trading to leave your stops exposed to that scenario so back them off even further if confidence levels allow.
Anyway the text alarm sounds like the ants pants to me and then if the carrots aren't dangling they can't be taken.
