This is on the TSX but Kinross paid >$7 bill for Redback's mines in West Africa. The punters didn't like it and have written it's value down by more than that. Yet they still have the mines which are producing profitably.
Redback had been a 20 bagger for me when they were taken over, I've lost half since.
