    Pffttt !!!!

That is a baseless shock jock style statement. It's just hot air.

Unless you can provide a platform for that argument , you're just waffling.

As low emission technology is developed , it is proving to be cheaper and more flexible than fossil. So, on pure economics alone, countries will choose low emission tech over fossil.

Why would you rely on importing coal, oil, gas and uranium from countries that may not be your friends in the future ? We have seen China playing funny buggers with our exports lately. Why would you voluntarily give a supplier that kind of power ?

For the first time ever, it is starting to look quite possible that Japan can become energy independent by adopting offshore wind. That is a huge shift for not only Japan but for other countries that previously were locked into importing their energy.

Renewable energy is cheap and getting cheaper and will for ever more as fossil and nuclear can only get more expensive. The gap between the two is only going to get bigger.

In the not too distant future there will be taxes on goods from countries that pollute. The EU is floating that idea now and the US is very interested. From a commercial advantage perspective, these groups will be all for a carbon tax which is another way of influencing polluting countries to change their ways so that they can't go rogue.

China doesn't want to do something to limit their emissions ? Then the EU and the US will start sourcing their imports from someone that will. Simple as that.

I would be interested to see your argument as to why those countries won't play ball.

" Just because " isn't an answer by the way. wink.png
