    Yep. In the first half they couldn’t decide if they were defending a one-nil lead or trying to win the match. He who hesitates is lost. Croatia had the best of the last 75 minutes, and deserved the win.

    At least Southgate doesn’t have to work out how to defend against France, because with his current set up England would have been slaughtered.
