While I appreciate your effort to stick to the usual last ditch defence against renewable energy development - its funding comes from ARENA, the govt funded loan program to promote this kind of infrastructure. You can be assured the tech and the business case would have been thoroughly examined before any money was allocated, just like any other corporate funder would.
the rest of funding, I believe, comes from the Vic Govt and AGL purely as customers.
no Govt subsidy involved unless you count the interest rate charged by the profitable ARENA.
